NEW-YORK FASHION WEEK S/S 2010

Apparently nothing too exciting happened…
Although, I liked the simplicity.
Recession has certainly brought a lighter fashion, discreet, and romantic.
SS 2010 in NYC inspire sweetness and purity. And a fresh sporty American Way of life. Some details are common to many designers, such as sheer materials, high waists, short tops, neutral colors, everything is played between Beige tones, whites, and blacks.
Minimalism and futurism are the key elements, with some romantic touches or military ones.
Lean cuts, bold colors, all is about the fabrics combinations and volumes. Mixes of leather with tulle and lace, cotton with silk. The colors are melting into each other. And the looks are playing see-through- lingerie inspirations.
Less is more. When Urban meets nature intimacy.

The vintage inspiration is good but nothing really new.

We could have expected something more then the  Old American Inspiration…What comes around goes around.

Adored the futurisic uniformes look, feminine yet cool and modern. Playing with soft bondage and tight silhouettes. Some elastics and biker details remembered the current military trend.

Feminine clean street look. Chic and elegant leather vs Lace, with a touch of grunge look.

Warrior concept, melting colors, grey shades and clean cuts. Adopted once again. A Forever Must.

Mystic Privitism inspiration, look up at the future: design to create and not to follow.
Their futuristic gothic immaginary world, is enchanted and attractive like a sweet poison. Ripped materials and mixes of fabrics, tribal skin make-up… I am bewitched.

PREEN
Purrr,,,like a thousand layer cakes, just delicious. Soft pastels colors, coolness in the lines and the structured pieces. Soft bondage delicate lace and ruffles, made me fall in love again.

MAX AZRIA
Surprisingly simple, and forward. Purity floating in the air. Fly with the wind.
